U OF O FALL STREET FAIRE. October 15 - October 17, 2014

Volunteers are needed to work with the campus PC representative, Laurette Garner, to staff the Peace Corps booth to share information about their PC experience and the PC in general. Event runs 10:00-4:00 each day. Laurette will send out a sign up grid closer to the dates of the event. For questions, contact Laurette at pcorps@uoregon.edu.

WCPCA POTLUCK AND PROGRAM. Friday, October 24th, 2014, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

This potluck will be at the home of Dave and Dorothy Soper. Our program will be presented by Priscilla Almelda Dantas, a music student at the U of O. Priscilla’s education in Brazil and the US has been supported by SHISKI, a non-profit founded by WCPCA member Bob Crites. Priscilla will describe her years growing up in Brazil, her transition to the U of O, and conclude by playing selected piano pieces. Please bring a dish to share. FOOD PACKAGING FOR FOOD FOR LANE COUNTY. Monday, October 27th, 2014, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join the WCPCA crew at the Food for Lane County warehouse, 770 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene, to package food donations into family size containers. This work is an ongoing service project of WCPCA members.

WCPCA BOOK GROUP DISCUSSION. Tuesday, November 11th, 2014, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

This month's selection is Dancing with Gogos, A Peace Corps Memoir, by WCPCA member, Gary Cornelius. Gary writes about his recent PC experience in a Zulu community in South Africa. The book is available from Gary, at Tsunami Books in Eugene, or on Amazon. An electronic version is also available on Amazon. All are welcome. Meeting place is yet to be determined.
