Board of Directors

The board of the West Cascade Peace Corps Association is elected annually and meets as needed, usually four or five times a year. A list of board members is on the Contacts page.

WCPCA is an affiliate of the National Peace Corps Association and has received 501(c)(3) status as a nonprofit charity with the IRS. The organization’s tax ID number is 26-2955776. Annually the board files a Form 990 with the IRS. Copies of the form are posted below.

Board meetings are open to the public. Notices of meeting dates and places are posted on the Calendar page. Current year documents, including minutes of board meetings and general membership meetings, board reports, and committee reports are posted below. All older business documents of this type are found in the Business Archives. The WCPCA constitution and bylaws are also posted below.

In 2009, with generous donations, the board created the Beryl Brinkman Memorial Fund, an endowed fund managed by the Oregon Community Foundation. The fund was created to honor the memory of the late Ms. Beryl Brinkman, a founding member of WCPCA. Annual distributions from the fund may be used only to support humanitarian projects.

In 2011 the board organized a local celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Peace Corps. The celebration took place on March 1, 2011 and was accompanied by several articles in local publications. A recounting of the celebration, a listing of those who organized it, and links to relevant publications are in the Scrapbook page.
