Projects - Partnership Project Scoring Rubric

WCPCA has determined a basic criteria for funding projects in hopes of maximizing the investment and ensuring our donation will be used in the most responsible manner. Before awarding grants to fund Partnership Projects, WCPCA will score each according to the following rubric. The highest score will help determine which project or projects receive financial support.

Circle the number that corresponds to project description.

  1. Community Needs and Benefits
    • 3 - Majority of entire community benefits from project.
    • 2 - A specific but vulnerable population benefits from the project.
    • 1 - A small, special group of people benefit from the project.
  2. Sustainability
    • 3 - The project has a lasting benefit with potential for replication and/or involvement from other organizations, NGOs, communities, etc.
    • 2 - The project may have a less lasting benefit with or without potential replication and/or involvement from other organizations, NGOs, communities, etc.
    • 1 - The project does not have a lasting benefit without potential for replication and/or involvement from other organizations, NGOs, communities, etc.
  3. Community Support and Contribution
    • 3 - Greater than 50% of the project budget comes from in-kind or direct contribution from the community.
    • 2 - Between 25% and 50% of the project budget comes from in-kind or direct contribution from the community.
    • 1 - Less than 25% of the project budget comes from in-kind or direct contribution from the community.
  4. WCPCA Contribution
    • 3 - WCPCA funds 50% or more of the total project budget.
    • 2 - WCPCA funds 25% to 50% of the total project budget.
    • 1 - WCPCA funds less than 25% of the total project budget.
  5. Investment
    • 3 - Project has a tangible outcome with demonstrated need for life-sustaining or enhancing resource.
    • 2 - Project may or may not have a tangible outcome with a demonstrated need for life-sustaining or enhancing resource.
    • 1 - Project does not have a tangible outcome without a demonstrated need for life-sustaining or enhancing resource.
  6. Duration of Project
    • 3 - Project likely to be completed during PCVs duration of service.
    • 2 - Project may not be completed during the PCVs duration of service.
    • 1 - Project will not be completed during the PCVs duration of service.
